Granola (mom's)
1 lbs Oatmeal
2 Cups Wheat Germ
1 Cup Brown sugar firmly packed
1 Cup Coconut
1 Cup Chopped Nuts (cashews, walnuts, peanuts, etc..)
1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1 Cup Safflower Oil
1 Tsp Salt
 
1. Combine all ingredients except oil.  Mix together well.
2. Stir in the oil.
3. Spread the mixture into a large shallow pan.  
4. Bake at 325 until golden brown, stirring up from the bottom every 10 minutes for 1 hour.  
5. Pack in a plastic bag and keep refrigerated.
   
Options:   When the mixture is cooled 1 cup of chopped fruit can be added.   (figs, raisins, etc)
