Lemon Tea Bread
3/4 Cup Milk
1 Tbs Lemon Balm (Chopped)
1 Tbs Lemon Thyme
2 Cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
6 Tbs Butter (at room temperature) 
1/4 tsp Salt
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
1 Tbs grated Lemon peel (fresh is best)
 
1. Heat, but do not boil, herbs in milk and then let cool.  
2. Combine Flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.  
4. Beat in eggs and lemon peel.  
5. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture alternating with the herbal milk until the batter is blended.
6. Pour into two greased bread pans.
7. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean out of the center. 
8. Let cool on a rack covered with wax paper.
9. Frost with Lemon Glaze if desired.  (equal parts lemon juice and Confectioners sugar)
