Heat, but do not boil, herbs in milk and then let
cool. |

Combine Flour, baking powder, and salt. |

Cream together the butter and sugar
until fluffy. |

Beat in eggs and lemon peel. |

Add flour mixture to the butter mixture
alternating with the herbal milk until the batter is blended. |

Pour into two greased bread pans. |

Bake at 325 for 50 minutes or until a
toothpick comes clean out of the center. |

Let cool on a rack covered with wax
paper. |

Frost with Lemon Glaze if desired.
